Abstract
In vitro shoot proliferation of‘Dolce Agogia’ olive (Olea europaea L.) was obtained on a half-strength Murashige and Skoog medium supplemented with 10 mg/liter zeatin riboside, 0.5 mg/liter indolebutyric acid (IBA) and 0.5 mg/liter gibberellic acid (GA3). Naphthaleneacetic acid (NAA) at 2 and 4 mg/liter was effective in inducing root-differentiation in combination with half-concentration Knop macronutrients and Heller micronutrients. Proliferated plants were transplanted to pots containing a mixture of sand, beech leaves, and peat with about 60% survival.
