The material for this report was gathered during a study tour of the West Coast of Mexico vegetable industry in February, 1977. The tour was organized by the Department of Plant Science, University of Arizona, Tucson, and directed by Dr. Norman Oebker, Prof, of Horticulture. The author, also spent a brief period in the area as a tourist in February, 1976. In preparing this report, I am greatly indebted to Dr. Oebker for much information and advice.
